An orphaned folder is a video that exists in storage but has no entry in the library index —
so it never appears in the Library, yet it still blocks a re-import of the same video ("already imported, but I
can't find it"). This usually comes from an import that wrote the files but failed before updating the index, or a
Library delete that removed the index row but not the files. Scan for them below, then either bring one back into the
Library or delete its storage. Signed in as you
This tool needs a global admin token (orphaned folders have no tenant owner). Your account looks
tenant-scoped, so the buttons below will return 403. Ask a global admin to run the reconcile.
What each action does
Reindex re-adds the video to the library from its own config.json, as
“in authoring” (never auto-published) — so it becomes visible and editable again without a re-import. Only available when the folder still has a config.json.
Delete permanently removes the folder's files from storage (video, captions, poster, config, version history). Use this for a truly abandoned import you don't want. After deleting, a fresh import of the same video will succeed cleanly.
Both actions only ever touch confirmed orphans — a video that is in the library is never affected. Every action previews first (dry run) and asks you to confirm.
